Bones of You is an ongoing body of work exploring death, decomposition, transformation and our relationship with the more-than-human world.
Animals I find dead are buried with care and left to decompose within the earth. I later return to exhume their bones, entering into a continuing dialogue with what remains. Through casting and metalwork, these bones are transformed into precious objects and adornments, returning to the living body in another form.
The work considers bone as evidence of a life, and jewellery as a space for animism, alchemy and remembrance. These pieces become memento mori from the more-than-human world, part memorial, part transformation, and a material lament to a dying world.
